Quality Assurance = Student Success

At Niagara College, Quality Assurance is implicit in our commitment to Student Success.  Therefore, every department in the College contributes to program Quality Assurance.  Many College practices which support student success are established and reviewed regularly.

Commitment to teaching and learning excellence is shown through College leadership, including Student Administration Council leadership.  From ongoing, active support for Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition, to staff and faculty discussions on student retention, to professional development initiatives and tools, our focus is constantly on teaching and learning for student success.

Quality Assurance = Student Success

Consistency in the use of BlackBoard and PeopleSoft technology has greatly improved our capacity to ensure consistent learning opportunities to students across the College and across locations. Close collaboration with Continuing Education creates alternatives for students, including the option for distance education through OntarioLearn.

Quality Assurance involves input and feedback from all our stakeholders.  We have built in regular and ongoing communication with stakeholders in a variety of ways, including curriculum committees and program advisory committees, to ensure relevance and quality in programs. Learning enterprises and community partnerships also create unique learning opportunities for students.

Student services and College facilities undergo continuous improvement to ensure that learning is put first in our priorities, and that student success is achieved.
