Resources for Non-Full-Time Faculty

Minimize

Non-full-time faculty are important and valued members of the Niagara College community.  By sharing their unique professional insights and experiences, non-full-time faculty advance our collective mission of providing outstanding applied education and training for a changing world.

If you are new to Niagara College, please refer to the Becoming NC Ready Checklist for a list of key information, resources and supports that will orient you to your instructional role.

Non-full-time faculty are welcome to make use of all of the services offered by the Centre for Academic Excellence (CAE) and, with the exception of the College Educator Development, are invited to participate in all CAE programming.

Newly available for 2015 are a series of interactive online modules that address the following topics:

OUTCOMES-BASED EDUCATION

CREATING A POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

LESSON PLANNING AND ACTIVE LEARNING

INTRODUCTION TO ASSESSMENT

INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY IN COLLEGE EDUCATION

THE TEACHING PROFESSIONAL

These modules provide NC faculty with just-in-time access to information and resources critical for effective college teaching.  Each module engages participants actively through embedded readings, videos, hands-on activities and reflection exercises.

To access these modules, please contact Sharon Everett at severett@niagaracollege.ca.
